Spiritual gifts are supernatural abilities that Christians believe are given by God to help people spread the gospel and serve others. They are also known as "gifts of the Holy Spirit".
Examples of spiritual gifts
Wisdom: A deep understanding of God's truth and how to apply it to life
Knowledge: Special insight into God's Word and will
Faith: The ability to trust God in extraordinary circumstances
Healing: The ability to pray for and witness physical, emotional, or spiritual healing in others
Miracles: The ability to perform extraordinary signs and wonders
Prophecy: The ability to speak forth God's messages
Discernment of spirits: The ability to distinguish between different spirits
Speaking in tongues: The ability to speak in unknown languages as a form of prayer or communication with God
Interpretation of tongues: The ability to interpret messages spoken in tongues
Why are spiritual gifts important?
Spiritual gifts are a way for people to glorify God and share his love with others
They are a way for people to participate in the mission of the church
They are a way for people to build up the church in unity
